SANFORD, Florida –Video has been released showing some of Florida teen Trayvon Martin’s final moments before being fatally shot by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman back in February.
In the video released by 7-Eleven, you can see Trayvon Martin at a store in Sanford, Florida where he purchased Skittles and an Arizona iced tea. Trayvon, dressed in a black hoodie, tan pants and a pair of sneakers is seen reaching into his pocket for change and paying the cashier.
After leaving the store the young teen was followed, shot and murdered by George Zimmerman a short time later on his way back to the home of his father’s fiancé where he was staying.
The autopsy also says Martin was shot in the chest from an “intermediate range” or within three feet. And it lists the manner of death as homicide.
Also among the evidence, a police document said Zimmerman could have avoided the encounter if he had stayed in his car and waited for police to arrive, after he called 9-1-1.
